Our Purpose

The Cane Corso is a powerful and deeply loyal working breed originating from Italy, historically developed as a guardian and versatile farm dog. Known for its natural protective instincts, and strong bond with its family, the Cane Corso is a breed that thrives when given purpose and close connection to its people. At King’s Kourt, we focus on preserving and enhancing what makes this breed exceptional by prioritizing stable, family-friendly temperaments while maintaining the drive and versatility the Corso is known for. The majority of our puppies are placed in companion homes, often with large families, where they serve as both devoted companions and natural protectors. Many of our dogs go on to perform meaningful work in service homes, including diabetic alert, seizure response, and mobility assistance, while a select number are placed in small, home-based breeding programs that align with our standards for care and long-term commitment to the breed. The Cane Corso is an incredibly driven and adaptable dog, and that versatility is the foundation of our program. We intentionally produce dogs capable of excelling across multiple roles, whether in protection homes, service work, or as well-balanced family companions, ensuring they can transition seamlessly between being working dogs and affectionate members of the household. While we are a young and growing program, our vision is long-term and intentional, with a strong focus on building a well-rounded foundation. Our males currently participate in protection work to preserve working ability and drive, and we plan to begin participating in sporting events through the American Kennel Club in 2026 as well as making our Conformation debut with select prospects in 2027. Every step of our program is designed to balance sound temperament, functional structure, working ability, and family compatibility. To us, the Cane Corso is more than a breed, it is a lifestyle and a responsibility, and every breeding decision is made with the future of each dog in mind so they are equipped to succeed in the homes and roles they are placed in, whether as a protector, service dog, or beloved companion.
